The Swedish Ola Simonsson and Johannes Stjärne Nilsson (photo), Maria Blom, Håkon Liu and the Danish Charlotte Sieling are the latest recipients of production grant from the Swedish Film Institute.

Sound of Noise, the first feature film by the acclaimed directors of the short film Music For One Apartment and Six Drummers, Simonsson and Stjärne Nilsson, was awarded the biggest grant: SEK10m. The film is produced by Olivier Guerpillon (DFM Fiktion) in co-production with France's Bliss with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

Teresa Fabik (The Ketchup Effect) was awarded SEK6.2m for her youth film Prinsessa produced by Sandra Harms (Breidablick Film Production). Maria Blom's Fishy, produced by Memfis Film, was awarded SEK1.5m. and the film is currently playing on Swedish screens. Miss Kicki - developed as part of the Rookie Film initiative - is directed by Håkon Liu. The Migma Film production received SEK 2.7m.

Sielling's episodic film Over Gaden, under vandet produced by Denmark's Nimbus Film in co-production with Sweden's Hepp Film, was awarded SEK 400,000.

David Keating's English language horror film The Wake Wood produced Fantastic Films (Ireland) in co-production with Magnus Paulsson (Solid Entertainment) was awarded SEK 600,000.

The documentary film Bananas by Fredrik Gertten, about banana plantation workers who take a multinational to court produced, was awarded SEK2m. the film is produced by WG Film, Westman and Gertten AB, with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond. The other two documentaries are Daniel Fridell's Cubaton-El medico produced by Röde Orm Film, and Åsa Blanck and Johan Palmgren's Systrarna Persson i främmande land produced by Modern TV.
