Director Christian Dyekjær is preparing for Deluca Film Denmark and Scanbox the new adventures of 12 year-old Lucia, daughter of Santa Claus.

The family adventure film All I want for Christmas 2-King Winter’s Crystal (Julemandens datter 2-kong vinters krystal) based on a script by Uffe Rørbæk and Lars T. Therkildsen is supported by Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

Elia Testa Madsen reprises her role as Lucia, who lives way up north in Greenland with her father Julius-aka Santa Claus (Martin Buch) and her mother Claudia (Mia Lyhne). The first girl ever to attend Santa Claus’ international Christmas School, is faced with a new challenge when her best friend Oscar (Bertil Smith) is accused of stealing King Winter's magic crystal that gives all Santa's powers. Lucia is determined to fight the injustice, find the real thief and save Christmas.

Other cast members include Ulf Pilgaard, Kristian Halken and Marianne Høgsbro. The film is produced by Morten Rasmussen and David CH Østerbøg in association with TV2 Denmark, Viborg Municipality, support from the Danish Film Institute and the West Danish Film Fund. Filming is underway in Viborg.

The Danish release via Scanbox is set for November 12, 2020. The first film All I Want for Christmas sold around 200,000 tickets in Denmark and Norway and was released as well in France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Estonia and Taiwan. It won the Children’s Jury Prize at this year’s Nordic Film Days in Lübeck. Attraction Distribution handles world sales.
