Executives from Arthaus, Finnkino, LevelK, Yle and Nordisk Film will take part in the Nordic Flair career boost programme Nordic Flair in Helsinki.
Launched in 2017 by Helsinki’s film industry showcase Finnish Film Affair, in collaboration with Nordisk Film & TV Fond and the Finnish Film Foundation, Nordic Flair is meant to offer career opportunities and/or training to selected Nordic industry professionals.
This year’s leadership training programme organised by Sten Saluveer (CEO at Storytek Innovation and Venture Studio) and Nordic Factory will help a group of professionals hone their skills in distribution and sales and in scouting new filmmaking talent.

The Helsinki International Film Festival’s industry event Finnish Film Affair has also revealed the four TV projects in early development to be showcased at New Nordic Narratives. Those are:
Finally, the jury of the Pitch competition for Best Fiction and Nordic Project includes Christian Jeune, Cannes Film Festival’s Film Department Director, Eleonora Pesci, Acquisitions Executive, Curzon UK, and Claire Willats, Director, Film Nordics, Netflix.
The jury of the Documentary competition includes Pierre-Alexis Chevit, Head of Cannes Docs, Marché du Film, Cannes, Polly McAlister, Sales Manager, TVF International and Shane Smith, Artistic Director, Hot Docs.
This year’s Filmmaker in residence is Venezuela’s Mariangela Pluchino.
More than 400 industry delegates are set to attend Finnish Film Affair unspooling physically in Helsinki between September 21-23.
