The producer behind Jesper Ganslandt’s 473 Days and the upcoming series Cell 8 will be joining the company January 3rd, 2022.
Ulfung will be working both on feature film and TV series for Filmlance International, reporting to managing director Hanne Palmquist. The seasoned producer with 30 year experience in scripted content, will be joining the Banijay-owned company from Miso Film Sweden, where he has worked for the last five years. He founded the company Breidablick in 1999.
Ulfung was twice nominated for a Guldbagge - Best Film with 438 Days (2019) and Måns Mårlind & Björn Stein’s Storm (2007). He is also a senior lecturer in film and television production at Stockholm University of the Arts.
Filmlance International’s upcoming TV movie Beck-A New Life is due to premiere on Christmas day on C More. Making his debut in the hit crime series based on Maj Sjöwall and Per Wahlöös’ characters is Valter Skarsgård, cast as Martin Beck’s grandchild Vilhelm. Three other Beck films will premiere in 2022.
A total of five Filmlance productions will start filming next year, including two original series and two returning seasons of existing shows.
Meanwhile the anticipated family series Ronja the Robber’s Daughter written by Hans Rosenfeldt based on Astrid Lindgren’s celebrated epic adventure, is in casting stage, with filming due to start after the summer 2022.
