First time director Per Hanefjord - winner of a Student Academy Award - Honorary Foreign Film in 2009 for his short Elkland - has started filming the stand alone film part of the Fjällbacka Murders crime series, adapted for the screen by scriptwriter Maria Karlsson (Easy Money). Next to the main acting duo Claudia Galli and Richard Ulfsäter - who play crime writer Erica Falck and police office Patrik Hedström in the series - are Sweden's celebrated actor Jan Malmsjö (the infamous bishop in Ingmar Bergman's Fanny & Alexander), Amanda Ooms (Everlasting Moments) and Norwegian rising star Jakob Oftebro (Kon-Tiki).

In The Hidden Child set in 1947 and in contemporary Sweden and Norway, crime writer Erica Falck is investigating her deceased mother's past that hides a dark secret linked to Nazi Germany. Nordisk Film will release the film in Swedish cinemas in June 2013. Rights to the feature film and TV series have been pre-sold by TrustNordisk to several foreign territories including Benelux (Lumiere), Australia/New Zealand (Rialto), Germany (ZDF) and France (France 3).

Danielsson was hired a year ago by Tre Vänner to bring her international expertise to the making of The Fjällbacka Murder series, serving as executive producer. The producer, who also runs her own company Hepp Film, has a 15-year career in the Scandinavian and European film industry. Her credits include Jörgen Bergmark's A Rational Solution and the 2011 Nordic Council Film Prize winner Beyond by Pernilla August. She is also attached as executive producer to Mikael Marcimain's Call Girl.

Danielsson will receive her Prix Eurimages during the European Film Awards ceremony in Malta on December 1, 2012.
