Top European broadcasters seduced by Yellow Bird’s young adult romantic drama include Channel 4 in the UK, RTL Passion in Germany and Canal+ in France.
Launched last August exclusively on Nent Groups’ streamer Viaplay, the 8x23’ Threesome ranked among the highest reviewed Swedish dramas according to www.kritiker.se.
Created and directed by actress Lisa Linnertorp, the series centres on London-based couple David and Siri whose long-time relationship is challenged when they meet French art student Camille after a drunken night out.
The story about love, sex and betrayal toplines hockey player-turned actor Simon Lööf, Matilda Källström (Solsidan) and Alma Jodorowsky (Blue is the Warmest Colour).
The series was produced by Helena Larand (Solsidan, Ture Sventon and the Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle) for Yellow Bird Sweden.
Channel 4 in the UK will launch the show on its free streaming service All4.
Several other buyers, notably from Europe and Asia are circling the young adult show according to Eccho Rights.
