Sieling who started as an actress in the 1990s before switching to television directing (12 episodes of DR's popular series Krøniken - Better Times) will make the leap to feature filmmaking for producer Lars Bredo Rahbek (Nimbus Film). Based on her own original script co-written by Swedish actress Yaba Holst, the film focuses on four people during 24 hours at Christianshavn and their ability to keep their lives together. In the lead roles are Nicholas Bro, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Anders W. Berthelsen, and Ellen Hillingsøe. Shooting started last week and delivery date is set for June 2009.
Headhunter, the new film by the director of Young Andersen (2005), is going back behind the camera in November for his new thriller set in the oil business. Martin Vinge (Lars Mikkelsen), plays a successful head hunter who is trying to find a new CEO for one the biggest companies in the Nordic region. He is soon drawn into a secluded power game. Åke Sandgren is producing for Nordisk Film.
The multi-awarded filmmaker Boe (Reconstruction), will direct his fourth feature film described as a ‘labyrinthine love thriller'. Tine Grew Pfeiffer is producing for Alphaville Pictures Copenhagen, and delivery date is set for 2010.
Christiansen, director of Råzone (Life Hits), the Oscar nominated short film At Night (2007) and its feature length version Dig og mig (Crying for Love), continues to work on small budget films with audience potential for Zentropa's Louise Vesth. His new project Zoomerne, the first youth film to receive support from RåFilm, will have its premiere at the end of 2009.
