Created by Christian Torpe and Marie Østerbye (Rita), the psycho thriller was produced by Motor for DR. The story follows five people in a small Danish town who team up to plan the perfect murder of the local town psycho, but their dark plan has a heavy human cost.
Launched on DR on October 6, the series was the fifth most popular Danish series of 2019 with 697,000 viewers and 31.9 % share. Dynamic Television handles world distribution. Deliver Us will play across the Nordics as part of the Nordic 12 alliance.
For the second year in a row TV2’s period drama Seaside Resort (Badehotellet) nabbed TVprisen’s Viewers Award. Season 6 was followed by nearly 1.6 million Danes for a record 62.8% share in 2019, making it the favourite Danish series of the year. Season 7 is set to premiere on TV2 and TV2 Play January 27.
Simon Lereng-Wilmont’s acclaimed film, Distant Barking of Dogs, about 10 year-old Oleg whose life is turned upside down by the on-going conflict in East Ukraine, added the TV prisen Best Documentary award to his long list of accolades, including IDFA’s First Appearance Competition Award 2017. The film produced by Final Cut for Real was supported by Nordisk Film & TV Fond.
Meanwhile Drive Studios won Best Satire/comedy with the football comedy Sunday and Best Short Form Scripted for 31. Both productions were created for YouSee’s Xee channel.
The Best Children’s programme award went to Warner Bros Denmark’s Ultra Smider Tøjet. The annual Danish TV awards voted upon by the Danish TV industry is arranged by the Danish Producers’ Association in collaboration with several Danish TV broadcasters.
