The non-profit initiative Copenhagen TV Festival is organised mainly by the Danish Producers’ Association, DR, TV2 Denmark, NENT Group, Discovery Networks Denmark and Xee.
‘We want to inspire as many from the Scandinavian TV industry as possible on the latest TV and streaming trends and share knowledge from some of the most remarkable productions of the year,” says communication manager Louise Toft Nielsen.
For its full online format, festival organisers have designed a special model consisting of a live programme, meant to provide a sense of community, and an on-demand programme with shorter formats adapted to streaming and podcasts, available on the festival’ streaming platform.

Other sessions include ‘The Viking That Hacked Netflix’s Algorithm’ with Norsemen producer Anders Tangen, ‘Creating Netflix Originals’ with producers Meta Louise Foldager (SAM Productions) and Piv Bernth (Apple Tree Productions), in conversation with Netflix’s Tesha Crawford, Director of International Original Series, “The Personal Story Behind For Sama’ with director/producer Waad al-Lateab, talks with ‘The Queen of Factual’, UK producer Kim Shillinglaw (Horrible Stories, Blue Planet II), with US director/producer Liz Garbus (HBO’s I’ll be Gone in the Dark, Netflix’s What Happened, Miss Simone?).
