The Fund is inviting Nordic Film & TV professionals to the session “From Pre-Pandemic Flashback to Post-Pandemic Visions of Documentary Distribution” to be held April 27.

Audiovisual Collaboration 2021 is co-organised by Nordisk Film & TV Fond and the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, under its Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The third virtual session of the Nordic bridge-building project held during CPH:DOX, will focus on “Future post-pandemic challenges for the Nordic and European documentary industry.”

Distinguished panellists invited to discuss the topic with moderator Karolina Lidin, Senior Documentary Advisor at Nordisk Film & TV Fond are:

  • Axel Arnö, Commissioning Editor at SVT, Sweden, Head of EBU Documentary Group
  • Signe Byrge Sørensen, producer at Final Cut for Real, Denmark,
  • Christian Falch, producer at Upnorth Film, Norway,
  • Martin Dawson, Deputy Head of Unit, Creative Europe MEDIA, Italy.
  • Ulla Simonen, director at AVEK, Finland.

Questions to be debated include:

  • How can professionals best nurture the documentary value chain and reach future audiences?
  • In the era of global streamers, is the money where the audience is?

During the session, Nordisk Film & TV Fond will be launching its new comprehensive report:
“Distribution of Nordic Documentaries Supported by Nordisk Film & TV Fond between 2015-2018.” The research paper written by documentary consultant Jan Daae, will be available to download on our website from April 27.

Audiovisual Collaboration 2021’s next session will be held at Haugesund’s Norwegian International Film Festival in August.
