Blinded (Fartblinda) marks London-based leading indie group all3media’s first foray into the Nordic region as co-producer and world distributor. The Swedish-language series is based on a book by leading business journalist and author Carolina Neurath.
Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize nominated Jesper Harrie has written the adaptation alongside co-writers Maria Karlsson (Easy Money) and Jonas Bonnier (The Helicopter Heist). The thriller series inspired by real events follows journalist Bea Farkas as she reports on a bank engaged in questionable activity. Her investigation will put a lot of people at great risk, in a world where status is everything and nobody is blameless.
Louise Pedersen, all3media international CEO said: “We’re very pleased to come on board this top notch Scandinavian thriller – Blinded is a contemporary, timely and intriguing story set in the cutthroat world of high finance, and we’re confident it will be in strong demand in the global market. The drama boasts a line-up of acclaimed creative talents and is the perfect project for our first key investment in the region. A major part of our on-going strategy is to expand the global breadth and scope of our drama portfolio - and that breadth includes looking tactically beyond English language investments.”
Josefine Tengblad, Head of Drama at TV4/C More added.“TV4 and C More have a strong track record of launching successful Swedish drama series and original productions. With the thrilling drama series Blinded we expand our growing drama slate. We love that we have a smart, intelligent young woman in the lead role and that it is based on a true story. “
The Swedish fiction content powerfhouse FLX’s other upcoming series include the first Netflix Original Quicksand (Störst av Allt) based on Malin Persson Giolito’s novel.
