The politically incorrect schoolteacher Rita (Mille Dinesen - pictured) that drew an average of 842,000 Danish viewers on TV2 in 2012 will be back on the Danish TV station on Wednesday September 11, 2013 for another eight episodes. The new season of Rita written by Christian Torpe, will introduce new actors such as Tommy Kenter, Alexandre Willaume, and Lasse Fogelstrøm (Mads Mikkelsen’s son Marcus in The Hunt). The show is produced by SF Film Production’s Karoline Leth and Jesper Morthorst for TV2, with support from the Danish Film Institute’s Public Service Fund. The first season won a Golden Nymph for Best Actress in a TV drama in Monte-Carlo 2012 and remake rights were sold to Fox TV Studios.
