Egmont’s TV 2 Norway has bought from Bonnier group the Norwegian activities of C More Entertainment, leading provider of premium pay TV in the Nordic region. The deal is to be approved by the Norwegian competition authority.

Once approved, the deal will give TV2 control over premium sports rights (Tippeligaen and La Liga) and the sports channel C Sports. Film and TV series will continue to be distributed under the C More brand while TV2 will handle the marketing, sales and packaging of the titles as part of a long-term collaboration between the parties on the Norwegian market. C More’s Norwegian staff will be incorporated into the TV2 organisation.

C More has film deals with 11 major companies such as Fox, Universal, Sony, Warner, HBO, Nordisk Film and Non Stop Entertainment. Svensk Filmindustri’s foreign titles are in their catalogue, as well as several Swedish films from other companies.
