Since yesterday kids in the Nordic region are able to watch more than 550 hours of filmed entertainment material on the new SVOD service SF Kids Play.
The Nordic online platform exclusively dedicated to kids offers a mix of classics and premium titles, shorts, feature films and TV series from SF’s large library and third party content such as the all time favorites Pippi Långstocking, Karlsson on the Roof, Pettson & Findus, or Maya the Bee. Content is the same across Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, with dubbed versions for non-national films and TV series. Titles are available to stream online or offline for downloading, via a monthly SEK59 fee and a parental control option can limit both the viewing time and type of programmes that kids can watch.
Jenny Stjernströmer Björk Chief Content Officer told nordiskfilmogtvfond.com: “It took us more than a year of planning and research to understand what kids consume and what parents consider as the most important with such an online platform. Today we are extremely pleased to launch the biggest online service for kids in the Nordics and our product Manager Jessica Berglund will make sure product is permanently updated and fun for kids to watch”.
Jonas Fors, SF Group CEO added: “The film industry is, like many other industries, in constant shift. SF faces many challenges and this is one way to expand our business”.
