Antti Jokinen's drama Purge and Aku Louhimies' realistic ensemble piece Naked Harbour are leading the pack of Finnish films nominated for Finland's annual Jussi film awards with eight nominations each including Best Film and Best Director. Finland's Oscars 2013' entry Purge was the third biggest Finnish film of 2012. The film's leading actress Laura Birn gets a chance to win a Jussi for the film and also for Naked Harbour in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Maarit Lalli's feature debut Almost 18 is the second most nominated film with six, followed by the animation film Niko 2-Little Brother, Big Trouble and Miss Blue Jeans with four nominations each. All three films are also running for Best Film.

Punk Syndrome and Canned Dreams supported by Nordisk Film & TV Fond are running for Best Documentary alongside Russian Libertine.
