Sunday's Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles was a historical evening for French cinema with five top awards - including Best Film and Best Director - to Michel Hazanavicius' The Artist, distributed in Scandinavia by Scanbox. Sweden was associated -via Yellow Bird - to one Oscar winning film, David Fincher's US version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo which received the coveted statuette for Best Editing (Kirk Baxter, left and Angus Wall, right). The Stieg Larsson's film adaptation was nominated in five categories.
