During last Saturday's closing night of the third CPH PIX Film Festival in Copenhagen, Norwegian composer Gaute Storaas (photo) received the Nordic Film Composers' Award and its €10,000 for the film score of Lise I. Osvoll's animation film Elias and the Treasure of the Sea. The awarded was given out by Jury members Michael Nyman, Jocelyn Pook and Luis Ivars on behalf of the Nordic Film Composers Network (NFCN). US born Alistair Banks Griffith's feature debut Two Gates of Sleep was awarded the New Talent Grand PIX and its € 30,000 cash prize and the Politiken Audience Award 2011 was handed out to Italian director Saverio Costanzo for The Solitude of Prime Numbers.
