Filmlance International hit a new record with its new Swedish crime drama Spring Tide (Springfloden) watched by 1.528.000 viewers for a 36.8% share last Sunday on SVT1’s 21.00 slot.

The first episode of the series written by Rolf and Cilla Börjlind (Wallander) opened even better than Filmlance’s other hit series The Bridge season 3 that kick started with 1.489.000 viewers on SVT1 last autumn.

Critics were overall very positive about Spring Tide rated with 4 stars (out of six) in the newspapers Göteborg Posten and Aftonbladet.

Alongside Kjell Bergqvist and Julia Ragnarsson who play the investigating duo Tom Stilton and Olivia Rönning,  are a handful of other popular actors including Helena Bergström, Johan Widerberg, Cecilia Nilsson and Dar Salim.

Spring Tide was produced in cooperation with SVT, Film Väst, NADCON, Lumiere, ZDF, with support among others from Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Endemol Shine International handles world distribution.
