Finnish actress Krista Kosonen (pictured) was awarded on Sunday the Jinjue award for Best Actress at the 18th Shanghai International Film Festival for her role in Antti J. Jokinen’s drama The Midwife (Kätilö).
The film set against the backdrop of The Lapland War in 1944-1945 was produced by Markus Selin and Jukka Helle for Solar Films with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Nordisk Film will release the film on September 4 in Finland. Picture Tree handles world sales.
