Ragnar Bragason’s Metalhead supported by Nordisk Film & TV Fond has received the most Eddas at Iceland’s annual film and television awards ceremony held on Saturday evening in Reykjavik. The drama collected eight awards including Best Actress for newcomer Halldóra Geirhardsdottir and Best Editing for Valdis Óskarsdottir. Njutafilms is releasing it in Sweden this Friday.

Benedikt Erlingsson’s comedy Of Horses and Men was bestowed six Eddas including Best Film, Best Director, Best Script (Erlingsson) and Best Male Actor (Ingvar E. Sigursson).

Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson’s Whale Valley was voted Best Short Film and The Laxá Farmers Best Documentary Film. The Honorary Award went to Sigrídur Margrét Vigfúsdóttir, Head of Creative Europe Iceland.
