The Black Night Film Festival in Tallinn gave its Tridens award for Best Debut Film to Life in a Fishbowl by Baldvin Z. The €5,000 award will be split between the director and producers Ingvar Thordarson and Júlíus Kemp (Icelandic Film Company). Baldvin Z could not attend the award ceremony as he is currently busy filming episodes of the TV series Trapped (RVK Studios). Life in a Fishbowl has already collected numerous awards (including the top prize at the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck) and is Iceland's entry for the 2015 Oscars in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
The Black Night Film Festival’s award for Best Cinematography was handed out to Fredrik Wenzel for the Swedish/Norwegian film The Quiet Roar. At the parallel Baltic Event, Finnish producers Kaarle Aho and Kai Nordberg received the Co-Production Market-Best Pitch Award for their project Impaled Rektum by Jukka Vidgren and Juuso Laanto.
