The Swedish Film Institute has recruited producer Helen Ahlsson (pictured - Pure, Kid Svensk) to run their Moving Sweden project as of September 1st 2014. She has been working for Tre Vänner since 2005.
Moving Sweden is a three-year programme set up in April 2013 by the SFI in collaboration with SVT, Regionala filmresurscentrum and Filmregion Stockholm Mälardalen. With an annual budget of around SEK 20 milion, Moving Sweden intends to stimulate innovation and help filmmakers challenge their artform by testing new forms of filmmaking such as the 60, 45 or 30 minute formats.
As new Commissioner, responsible for Moving Sweden, Ahlsson will report to Hjalmar Palmgren, Head of the Production Departmentat the SFI. She replaces Andra Lasmanis.
