Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (pictured) who won a Best Actress Amanda Award this year for her performance in the Norwegian chiller Cold Prey, is now playing Aina, a young girl who seems to have it all but ends up in a psychiatric house in a new film directed by Eva Isaksen (Mother Elling).

The drama comedy De gales hus (House of Fools) currently shooting in Asker (west of Oslo), is based on the eponymous best-selling book by Karin Fossum adapted for the silver screen by Åse Vikene. The film also stars Thorbjørn Harr and Fritjov Såheim.

Produced by Hilde Berg and Bent Rognlien for Norsk Filmproduksjon, the NOK18m film was one of the first projects to receive support from the Norwegian Film Fund under its Signatur K initiative set up to support feature film projects developed by women.

De gales hus will be released in the autumn 2008 by Nordisk Film in Norway.
