The €2.1m Finnish TV series Nymphs produced by Fisher King Productions for MTV3 has received €140,000 in production support from the Finnish Film Foundation. The 12x44’ fantasy drama directed by Miiko Oikkonen has already been pre-sold to France (Zylo), French speaking Canada (Viva Mondo) and Russia (Volgafilm). NonStop Sales is introducing this week at MIPCOM in Cannes 20-30 minutes of the series, currently filming until December. Three feature films were also granted production support from the Finnish Film Foundation: the tragi-comedy Boy Upside Down by Juha Lehtola, produced by Edith Film, the drama Princess of Egypt by Jan Forsström, produced by Making Movies, and Concrete Night by Pirjo Honkasalo, a co-production between Finland’s Oy Bufo and Sweden’s Plattform Produktion.
