Filmkameratene has received NOK13 million in production support from the Norwegian Film Institute towards its new ambitious NOK34 million project Victoria based on Knut Hamsun's eponymous novel published in 1898. The transcendental tale of lost love will be adapted for the screen and directed by Torun Lian (photo The Colour of Milk). John M. Jacobsen is producing with Pancho Kohner, son of US agent and Hollywood legend Paul Kohner who acquired rights to the novel directly from the Nobel Literary Prize winner in the mid-1930s. The film will start shooting in the autumn 2011. SF Norway will handle the domestic release.
