Michael Madsen's documentary Into Eternity was awarded the Politiken-Audience Award at the CPH:DOX Film Festival in Copenhagen that ended last weekend. The documentary about the world's first final resting place for nuclear waste, was produced by Magic Hour Films, in co-production with Mouka Filmi (Finland), ATMO (Sweden) and Global HDTV (Italy), with support, among others, by Nordisk Film & TV Fond.
Two other documentaries supported by the Fund received Special Mentions: Måns Månsson's H:R Landshövding (Mr Governor) from the main DOX:Award competition, and Yoav Shamir's Defamation from the Amnesty Award competition. The Danish DOX Award went to Andreas Kofoed's Alberts vinter, his graduation film from the National Film School of Denmark. The main DOX:Award was awarded to US filmmaker Harmony Korine for Trash Humpers.
