Svensk Filmindustri's current Head of Production Börje Hansson (pictured) will leave the company on August 31 to return to independent film production. The veteran producer joined the Swedish major in November 2008. Among the films he produced are two Lasse Maja family films and Lasse Hallström's The Hypnotist, set to open domestically on September 28. The first film that Hansson will produce independently for Svensk Filmindustri is Kjell Sundvall's The Paganini Contract, the second screen adaptation of Lars Kepler crime novels. SF's in-house producer Johanna Bergenstråhle will act as interim Head of Production until the top position is filled.
