The former Nordic Talents winner Karzan Kader will run for Best Film at the 23rd Stockholm International Film Festival with his debut film Bekas produced by Sonet Film with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond. The drama focuses on two homeless Kurdish boys, who in the early 90's of Saddam Hussein's regime sneak off on a perilous and epic journey to the US to meet their superhero Superman. Bekas has been pre-sold by TrustNordisk to 13 territories -based on a trailer - and the Swedish release via SF Film it set for November 30. The 23rd Stockholm International Film Festival will open on November 7 with the screening of Michael Marcimain's Call Girl.
