Carmen Curlers is about the entrepreneur Axel Byvang and his resourceful housewife Birthe Windfeld who starts the fastest growing enterprise in the world in the 1960s: Carmen Curlers. The story accelerates in 1963 when Axel stumbles across an invention: the electric curler. In spite of many obstacles, debts and the locals who think he is crazy, he and Birthe manage to create an international success.
