The Swedish children’s film Siv Sleeps Astra (Siv sover vilse) co-directed by Catti Edfeldt and Lena Hanno Clyne is the first Scandinavian title selected for the 66th Berlinale running February 11-21, 2016. The film will vie for a Crystal Bear in the Generation K Plus section. 

Siv Sleeps Astray about the 7 year-old Siv who has a sleep over at her friend Lilly Brown for the very first time, is based on the famous children’s book by Pija Lindenbaum. The film is produced by Petter Lindblad (Snowcloud), in collaboration with Gilda Film, Saperi Film Sweden, in co-production with Holland’s Viking Film, SVT, Filmpool Nord, with support from the Swedish Film Institute, Netherlands Film Fund and Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Svensk Filmindustri handles Swedish distribution and international sales.

The German/Swiss/Swedish coproduction Ted Sieger’s Molly Monster by Ted Sieger, Matthias Bruhn and Michael Ekbladh is also among the first 13 titles selected for the Generation sidebar. The rest of the programme will be announced mid-January.
