The Swedish documentary The Nun – 25 years in convent, premieres in national cinemas on August 29.

Sister Maria of the Annunciation was 19 years old when she moved to Glumslöv and entered the Carmelite Order, the strictest of all monastic orders. Once inside the convent walls, one never leaves again, there is even a cemetery. When the documentary The Nun was released in 2007, the world was given a unique insight into the life of the Carmelites. Many have wondered what has happened since then. How does she view her life choice today, after 25 years in the convent? What has happened to the parents and siblings she chose to leave behind?
