Norwegian producer Torleif Hauge (pictured) has been appointed Project Manager, Fiction for Nordisk Film & TV Fond. He takes over from Grimar Jónsson who leaves the Fund on June 29.

Hauge who will leave his current position as producer for Cinenord, has over 30 year experience in film and advertising in Norway. He started working professionally in the film industry in 1977. 

Through the 1980s he held various crew positions, working in the camera and electrical departments while editing around 100 commercials. In 1992 he turned to film production and direction for the company JBR Film. Four years later he teamed up with director Erik Poppe and producer Finn Gjerdrum with whom he founded Paradox. The company quickly established its name in Norway's film and commercials industry, showing flair in finding talented young directors. 

Hauge worked on a dozen films at Paradox in various capacities such as Associate Producer on Dancer in the Dark, Producer on the documentary Giganten and the children's film Pitbulterje, Executive Producer on Hawaii, Oslo

In 2007 Hauge set up a new company Fender Film where he produced the low budget thrillerManhunt while working as line producer on other projects such as the Varg Veum crime series. In 2009 he was recruited by the Norwegian Film Institute to work as Production Advisor, a position he held for two years.
