The three actors who worked with Vinterberg on his multi-awarded film The Hunt, are joined by Magnus Millang (The Commune) in another major role.

Co-stars include Marie Bonnevie (Becoming Astrid), and Helene Reingaard Neumann (The Commune).

Druk (no English title available yet) is written by Vinterberg with his long-time collaborator Tobias Lindholm. It’s the story of Martin and his three friends and high school teachers who launch a drinking experiment to test their creativity and mindset. Initial results are positive, the teachers' project is elevated to a genuine academic study. The experiment progresses for some but derails for others.

Top crew members attached include cinematographer Sturla Brandth Grøvlen (Victoria, RAMS, Shelley), editors Anne Østerud and Janus Billeskov Jansen (The Hunt) and production designer Sabine Hviid (When Animals Dream, The Charmer). Filming is taking place between Copenhagen, North Zealand in Denmark and Västra Götaland county in Sweden.

The DKK33.5m (€4.5m) film is produced by Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Kasper Dissing for Denmark’s Zentropa Entertainments3, in co-production with Film i Väst, Zentropa Sweden, Topkapi Films and Zentropa Netherlands, with support from the Danish Film Institute, TV 2 Denmark, the Swedish Film Institute, the Netherlands Film Fund, the Netherlands Film Production Incentive and Media Programme.
