The new deal which covers Warner Bros film and TV series for DVD/Blu-ray releases in the Nordics will start in the summer 2020. It is an extension on the two partners' existing collaboration on the theatrical side.
Upcoming Warner Bros titles to be distributed by the Scandinavian group include Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984, Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated Tenet, as well as catalogue hit franchises including the Harry Potter films and Game of Thrones series.
“We are very happy and proud to have entered into this new agreement with Warner Bros”, said Martin Brandtler, Nordic Head of Home Entertainment Distribution at Bonnier-owned SF Studios. “The entertainment landscape is constantly shifting, especially during these uncertain times, but one factor remains consistent: audiences’ appetite for content. We are thrilled to be able to share Warner Bros’ expansive library with consumers in the Nordics and look forward to releasing their exciting slate in due course on home entertainment.”
Besides Warner Bros, SF Studios has theatrical and home entertainment distribution partnerships with Studiocanal, MGM and STX for Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, as well as a theatrical deal with Sony.
