The major content partnership announced Thursday will come into effect in 2021.
Under the deal, SF Studios local and international films will be available to Netflix’s Nordic subscribers after the films’ theatrical run and rental and purchase offer on home entertainment.
On the production side, the partners will collaborate on upcoming Nordic feature films.
The two major companies are already working together on the feature film Red Dot and TV series Snabba Cash.

Snabba Cash is a TV spin-off of the successful film trilogy of the same name (Easy Money in English). The screenplay is written by Oskar Söderlund and bestselling author Jens Lapidus. In the title roles are of Leya and Salim are Evin Ahmad (Quicksand, The Rain) and Alexander Abdallah. Jesper Ganslandt is directing for SF Studios’ producer Nicklas Wikström Nicastro. The series will premiere on Netflix in 2021.
Red Dot is an action thriller directed by Alain Dahrborg with a stellar Swedish cast comprising Nanna Blondell, Anastasios Soulis, Tomas Bergström, Kalled Mustonen and Johannes Bah Kuhnke. Based on a script by Per Dickson, the film follows a couple in their late 20s, trying to rekindle their marriage by going on a ski hike in Northern Sweden. But the two soon become the target of reckless shooters in the wilderness.
The deal with Netflix follows up on recent home entertainment distribution agreements signed by Bonnier-owned SF Studios with Universal Pictures and Sony Pictures Television for the Nordics and the Baltics.
