The company run by MD Helen Gregory and Director of Co-Productions Christian Wikander, has added a Jude Law deal to other English language and Scandinavian projects on its roster.

Twelve Town which abandoned its Pinewood Television name after US firm StoryFirst became sole owner of the television company, continues to build its portfolio of high-end international drama and just inked a development and deficit financing gap deal with UK-based Riff Raff Entertainment headed by actor Jude Law and producer Ben Jackson (The Young Pope).

Gregory said: “Twelve Town is our new exciting identity and represents our ambition to develop and produce distinctive modern drama which has global appeal by putting creative talent at the heart of what we do. Our announcement of the new partnership with Riff Raff reflects these goals.”

Twelve Town’s Wikander has co-produced with Sweden’s Brain Academy the political thriller The Conspiracy of Silence (Ingen utan skuld) starring Jens Hultén. The eight-part Swedish show created by Peter Arrhenius (Welcome to Sweden) with Malin Lagerlöf (Farang) and Fredrik T. Olsson (Jordskott) will premiere exclusively in 2018 on Viaplay and later on TV3. Wikander’s first investment in a non-English language scripted series was in the Swedish supernatural thriller Jordskott season 2 which premiered on SVT on October 15.
