Amid challenging times in the film and TV industry, Nordisk Film & TV Fond will introduce a small change to its Nordic Talents Producers’ Pitch.

This year, the Producers’ Pitch unspooling September 7 at the National Film School of Denmark , will be held under the overriding theme ‘How to Face the Paradigm Shift in the Nordic Film & TV Industry’.

The session will include both a presentation of five Nordic production companies, and a keynote by Danish media analyst and streaming expert Keld Reinicke.

The Five Nordic producers set to present their company’s DNA, opportunities for new Nordic talent, and to discuss the current challenges in the industry are the following:

  • Rikke Tambo Andersen, Tambo Film, Denmark
  • Kerstin Übelacker, We Have a Plan, Sweden
  • Roope Lehtinen, Fire Monkey, Finland
  • Jonas Bruun, Skala-Storm Films, Norway
  • Agnes Parkrud, -Reel Films, Sweden.

Danish media expert Keld Reinicke will give us a status on the paradigm shift currently shaking the Nordic film & TV industry.

The seasoned media analyst and former head of programmes at TV2 Denmark, has worked over the last three decades on some of the most successful Danish TV formats in entertainment, drama, factual entertainment and events. His focus is programme development and content creation, supporting and development of the Nordic TV-market, as a vital part of the European TV-industry.

The session ‘How to Face the Paradigm Shift in the Nordic Film & TV Industry’ and the Producers’ Pitch will be moderated by industry veteran Noemi Ferrer. The CEO & founder of Yes & No, has more than 25 years of experience in the Danish and European Film and TV industry.

The annual Nordic Talents networking and graduation film students’ pitch competition will unspool September 6-7 at Copenhagen’s National Film & TV School.

Fifteen projects from 22 graduating Nordic writers, directors and producers, will compete for the NOK 250,000 Nordic Talents Pitch Prize and NOK 50,000 Special Mention.

This year’s prestigious jury set to deliver the awards and provide feedback include

  • Lone Scherfig, multi-awarded Danish writer/director/producer,
  • Maria Ekerhovd, producer at Norway’s Mer Film,
  • Matti Paunio, Head of Production at the Finnish Film Foundation,
  • Neil Peplow, CEO at the London Film School,
  • Anton Máni Svansson, producer at Iceland’s Join Motion Pictures.
