Nordic film graduates can apply to pitch their first film/series and win awards at the popular industry event in September.

The Fund’s annual industry event and pitch competition Nordic Talents is now accepting applications from graduating Nordic film students (BA or MA level) for a chance to network and present their upcoming projects to Nordic professionals and an international jury. Two prizes will be awarded during the event: The Pitch Prize (NOK 250,000) and the Special Mention Prize (NOK 50,000), as development funding for the upcoming talents’ first fiction, documentary, animation, hybrid or series project.

Prepare this before applying:

  • Information on the pitchers (max two per project)
  • Link to the graduation film with English subtitles
  • Short info on the key crew of the project
  • Project info and motivations for making it
  • Tagline
  • Short pitch and synopsis
  • Visual style
  • Development plan
  • Marketing plan and audience engagement strategy
  • Time schedule
  • Estimated budget amount

All information must be in English.

Up to 15 projects will be selected to pitch in front of a professional jury during Nordic Talents. Nordisk Film & TV Fond covers travels and accommodation for the pitchers. The pitchers must attend the pitch training workshop September 2-3, and the main event September 4-5.

Nordic Talents is a must-attend event for talent scouting and networking between students and the audiovisual industry in the Nordics. Registration to attend will open June 12 (Free of charge).
