Exclusive: The Executive Director of DR’s sales will be leaving the company at the end of November.

Ferrer joined DR Sales in 2020 as Executive Producer and was promoted to the role of Executive Director in May 2021.

She said her decision to step down is motivated by personal reasons.

“I am stepping down for personal reasons after a challenging year marked by illness around me to make more time for my family. It has been an extremely difficult decision, and I will greatly miss my fabulous team and colleagues at DR. I know that I’m leaving DR Sales in great shape with a strong brand and great projects coming up.”

Prior to joining DR Sales, Ferrer worked for the Danish Film Institute as Head of International and International Producer. The prominent multi-lingual executive held other senior positions at Zentropa, the Irish Film Board and Prokino Filmverleih in Germany.

Beside her senior position at DR Sales, Ferrer is a regular moderator-notably at Nordic Talents in Copenhagen, and co-organiser of the Young Nordic Producers Club.

DR Sales’ high-profile upcoming new titles include the drama Nordland ’99, uplifting period series Carmen Curlers set to premiere on DR1 and DRTV September 30, prison drama Prisoner starring Sofie Gråbøl and David Dencik, State of Happiness season 3, kids show Team Nuggets and the documentary Hostage Takers co-directed by Puk Damsgaard and Søren Klovborg.
