The fresh edition of the online publication on the Nordic region’s funding possibilities includes Faroe Islands and the Sámi region.

Nordisk Film & TV Fond yearly publishes the user-friendly online guide “Co-producing with the Nordics” that offers advice on international co-financing of feature films, documentaries and short films.

The guide is put together by NFTVF in collaboration with the Danish Film Institute, the Swedish Film Institute, the Norwegian Film Institute, the Finnish Film Foundation, the Icelandic Film Centre, and for the first time the Faroese Film Institute and the International Sámi Film Institute. The aim is to include the Greenlandic industry in the 2026 edition when the region’s film institute is officially established.

The guide includes:

  • A summary of the co-production schemes from the national film institutes/centres/foundations and regional film funds, with key criteria to apply for support and deadlines for 2025
  • Lists of Nordic minority co-productions and selection of international productions backed by the Icelandic and Faroeses reimbursement schemes
  • Cash rebates and production incentives in the Nordics
  • National and regional film commissions in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Åland
  • Info on the Nordic Animation network
  • NFTVF’s funding schemes and a selection of projects supported in 2024
  • Key contacts and creative Europe Media Desks in the Nordics
