Tine Klint who founded the sales outfit LevelK last year, has been joined by her former colleague at TrustNordisk Natja Rosner who will supervise the company's US office from New York.

Rosner left Zentropa's sales arm in 2008 to live in New York. Her most recent position was head of sales and brand marketing for the Mandy Coon fashion house. Klint sees the opening of a US office as a way to be closer to the local markets and optimize business opportunities. Among the company's most recent Nordic pick ups is Dirch, the second feature film by Martin P. Zandvliet (Applause). Set in the late 1950s, the biopic features Danish legendary comedy actor Dirch Passer (played by Nicolaj lie Kaas) who was in real life almost the opposite of his public figure. Co-written by Zandvliet with Anders F. August, the film was produced by Mikael Ch. Rieks (Koncern Film), in co-production with Nordisk Film Production and support from the Danish Film Institute, DR and Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Filming is set to begin on September 13.

LevelK also handles TV2 Danmark's successful TV series Lærkevej (Park Road), recent winner of a Best TV Drama award at Denmark's TV Festival. The second season produced by Cosmo Film is currently in production. Non-Scandinavian recent pick ups include the feature films Crying with Laughter by UK filmmaker Justin Molotnikov, The One Who Switches Off The Light by Russia's Andrei Libenson, and Say Nothing by Australia's Kieran Darcy-Smith.
