Heggen Strønstad was until recently CEO of the Norwegian boutique genre production house Yesbox Productions where he produced the short film Cold (Kjøttsår), nominated for a Palme d’or in Cannes 2011 and the 2012 fantasy chiller Thale, sold to 50 territories. He was selected as Norway’s Producer on the Move in Cannes 2016.

Heidenstrøm said: “We are incredibly pleased that Bendik has chosen to join Miso Film Norway. Over the years, he has gained a solid expertise that will strengthen our own ability us to develop and produce new high-quality films and TV productions.“

Miso Film co-founder Peter Bose added: "Our wish is to expand Miso Film Norway's activities through the hiring of several new, talented producers and staff members in addition to the current employees. We will continue to focus on high end TV drama series and with producers Are Heidenstrøm, Cecilie Aspenes and now Bendik Heggen Strønstad on board, our ambition is also for Miso Film Norge to have a greater focus on feature films."

Upcoming projects on Miso Film Norge’s line-up include Viaplay’s series Seizure based on a script by Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize nominated Megan Gallagher (Borderliner), and NRK’s youth thriller Skitten snø to be directed by Katarina Launing (Battle).
