The Wave’s producer Are Heidenstrøm is leaving Fantefilm to head Miso’s Norwegian production outpost, in replacement of Brede Hovland.
As co-founder of Fantefilm, Heidenstrøm has produced some of Norway’s biggest film hits in recent years, from Ragnarok, The Wave, The Quake to Carpenter Andersen and Santa Claus.
In his new job, set to start November 1st, he will spearhead Miso Film Norge’s plans to ramp up its feature film activities, parallel to its TV drama focus.
Miso Film Norge has produced the hit series Varg Veum, Acquitted and is currently working on a handful of projects:
The 10 year-old Scandinavian production group Miso Film’s co-headed by Peter Bose and Jonas Allen is currently enjoying the good run on TV2 Danmark of its crime drama series Warrior (Kriger) directed by Christoffer Boe. The show opened strongly early this month with 690,000 viewers and a share of 40.1 percent in the commercial target group 20-60 years old and 35.1 percent in the 3+ group. According to Bose, the second episode had only a five percent drop from the opening episode.
Miso Film Denmark is also preparing the returning season of the young adult thriller show The Rain, Netflix’s first Danish Original series created by Jannik Tai Mosholt, Esben Toft Jacobsen, and Christian Potalivo. Season 2 will launch on the global streaming service in 2019.
Meanwhile Miso Film’s Swedish outpost headed by Sandra Harms is in production with the ambitious feature film 438 Days directed by Jesper Ganslandt from a script by Peter Birro. SF Studios will release it late 2019.
