He will take on his new position for NENT Studios’ production outfit on February 1st, 2019.

As NENT Group’s VP Drama Nordic, the Swedish executive has worked on Viaplay series such as The Lawyer, Conspiracy of Silence, Black Lake, and the upcoming show The Inner Circle.

At Stockholm-based Nice Drama, he will report to the recently appointed CEO Alexander Tanno who said: “Mikael has played a key role in the ongoing success of Viaplay and TV3’s scripted projects. His extensive knowledge and deep creative engagement make him a perfect match for our ambitions at Nice Drama.”

NICE Drama’s other staff members include founder, exec producer and creative producer Henrik Jansson-Schweizer, executive producer Sonja Hermele, producer Cecilia Norman-Mardell and financial manager Annika Sundström.

Nice Dramas’ catalogue includes the feature films The 100 Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, Alone in Space (still playing in Swedish cinemas), the documentary Superswede and the TV dramas Midnight Sun, Hassel and Thicker than Water.
