The youngest son of tennis icon Björn Borg will play his father aged 9-13.

Leo Borg was hired after answering a call for an audition posted on Facebook, unaware that it would be to play a younger version of his father. Director Janus Metz said: “Leo Borg auditioned for the part and the fact that he already is playing tennis was pure fluke. He is also interested in filmmaking and is somewhat of a natural talent in front of the camera. It has been fantastic to work with Leo. His contribution to the film's authenticity in a story that takes us behind the official image of the legend Björn Borg is invaluable.”

A total of three actors will portray the Swedish tennis legend, with Sverrir Gudnason playing the title role, against Shia LaBeouf as John McEnroe.

The story written by Ronnie Sandhal focuses the two men that became legends and the price they had to pay.

The film Borg/McEnroe (known as Borg for the Scandinavian market) is produced by SF Studios Production in co-production with Film Väst, SVT, Nordisk Film, Yellow Film & TV, SF Studios Production A / S and Sirena Film with support from the Swedish Film Institute, Nordisk Film & TV Fond, the Danish Filk Institute, Finnish Film Foundation, Creative MEDIA, DR & YLE.
