The four jury members for the NOK 200,000 (€ 20,000) Nordic TV Drama Screenplay Award 2022 are now official.

For the sixth consecutive year, the award for outstanding writing of a Nordic drama series, funded by Nordisk Film & TV Fond, will be presented during the Göteborg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision.

This year’s Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize jury consists of Finnish actor Alma Pöysti, Hungarian writer and creative producer Gábor Krigler, Norwegian screenwriter and director Julie Andem and Swedish journalist and television critic Mattias Bergqvist.

Five Nordic drama series have been selected as the 2022 nominees for the prestigious script award. The winner will be announced at an award ceremony on February 2 during the 2022 hybrid edition of TV Drama Vision.

  • COUNTRYMEN (Jordbrukerne), Norway
    Nominated writers: Izer Aliu, Anne Bjørnstad
  • TRANSPORT (Transport), Finland
    Nominated writer: Auli Mantila
  • THE SHIFT (Det største), Denmark
    Nominated writer: Lone Scherfig
  • SUBURBIA (Vi i villa), Sweden
    Nominated writer: Tove Eriksen Hillblom
  • BLACKPORT (Verbúðin), Iceland
    Nominated writers: Gísli Örn Gardarsson, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Mikael Torfason

Last year's winner of the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize was Maja Jul Larsen, writer of the Danish TV drama Cry Wolf (Ulven kommer).

The 45th Göteborg Film Festival runs from January 28 until February 6, 2022 as a hybrid event. TV Drama Vision is held from February 2 – 3, 2022 on-site in Gothenburg with selected content available online.

The 2022 jury are:

  • Alma Pöysti, Actor, Finland
    Alma Pöysti graduated 2007 from the Theatre Academy at the University of Helsinki with a Masters degree in Arts, and has since gathered a broad experience on the theatre stages as well as in front of the camera. For over ten years Alma Pöysti has been doing stage work in both Finland and Sweden. In 2020 she played Tove Jansson in Tove and is also known from films and TV productions like Liberty, Naked Harbour and Lola upside down. Pöysti is cast in the upcoming TV series Blackwater and Harjunpää.
  • Julie Andem, Screenwriter and Director, Norway
    Julie Andem is the world-renowned Norwegian screenwriter and director of Skam, the teen drama web series that became an unprecedented national and international success upon airing in 2015. The innovative concept won Andem the prestigious Norwegian Golden Screen Award for “Best Innovation” as well as “Best Writing for a Drama” and “Best Directing for a Drama.” Andem has also directed the American remake, Skam Austin.
  • Gábor Krigler, Writer and Creative Producer, Hungary
    Gábor Krigler is a producer, creator of scripted serialized content and an international mentor and consultant for series projects. His career started on the writing team of a daily drama 22 years ago. After a nearly decade-long stint at HBO Europe as a Creative Executive in Budapest, he founded his own production company, Joyrider, in 2019.
  • Mattias Bergqvist, Journalist, Sweden
    Mattias Bergqvist is a Swedish journalist and television critic. He is the chief TV critic for the newspaper Expressen, and has previously contributed to publications such as Café, Smålandsposten and The Guardian. He lives in Alnö near Sundsvall and holds The Sopranos and Fleabag closest to his heart.
