Nohrstedt who has been working as a producer for the Scandinavian major since 2011, takes up his new position this month.

In his new role, Nohrstedt will oversee the development and execution of SF Studios’ Swedish feature film slate, reporting to Tim King, EVP Production at SF Studios.

Nohrstedt’s production credits include Borg/McEnroe, the Bamse and Nelly-Rapp family film series, as well as Pelle No-Tail (2020). He was Sweden’s Producer on the Move in Cannes 2019.

"We are extremely excited that Jon is taking on this important role, which will be crucial for SF Studios' growth ambitions and continued focus on Swedish feature films,” commented King. “Jon's track record speaks for itself, but what really makes him a perfect match for this role is his leadership qualities, his deep expertise in all aspects of film production as well as being an all-round great human being.”

SF Studios’ upcoming Swedish films include the youth film Forever by Anders, the female-led disaster film The Abyss by Richard Holm starring Tuva Novotny, the action comedy The Final Race by Edward af Sillén, and a second Mamma Moo film.

Nohrstedt replaces Annika Sucksdorff, who is now working as Head of Film for Netflix in the Nordics.
