The 10x45 crime series focuses on the journalist Dicte Svendsen in her early 40s who tries to raise her teenage daughter on her own while investigating a series of crimes with the local police in Aarhus. Dorte Høgh and Ida Maria Rydén have worked the last few years on the adaptation of Egholm's crime books available across the Nordic countries as well as France, the UK, Netherlands, Germany among others.
Cast members besides Iben Hjejle comprise Lena Maria Christensen, Lærke Winther, Lars Brygmann and Dar Salim. Concept director Jannik Johansen (Borgen) is attached to the first two episodes and the remaining eight will be directed by Charlotte Sachs Bostrup (Nikolaj & Julie) and Kasper Barfoed (Those Who Kill).
The series is produced by Jonas Allen, Peter Bose and Christian Potalivo for Miso Film in collaboration with Filmby Aarhus, TV4 Sweden, TV2 Norge and Germany's ZDF with support from the DFI's Public Service Fund, Vestdanske Filmpulje, Nordisk Film & TV Fond and the MEDIA Programme. Airing on TV2 Danmark is set for 2013.
