The experienced Pfeiffer has several acclaimed films to her credit, such as When Animals Dream, Sex, Drugs & Taxation, and other works directed by Christoffer Boe (Reconstruction, Allegro) through their former company Alphaville Pictures Copenhagen. As HBO Nordic's new Production Executive, Pfeiffer will oversee projects in advanced development stage and production.

Hanne Palmquist, HBO Nordic Commissioning Editor & VP Original Programming said: “I’m extremely happy that Tine has joined our HBO Nordic team. She is highly skilled, hands-on producer, and her background in high quality talent-driven content makes her the ideal candidate for her position as Production Executive."

Palmquist was at Göteborg’s TV Drama Vision last week where she told industry delegates about the HBO brand culture and first original Nordic show Gösta created/directed by Swedish director Lukas Moodysson for Memfis Film.

Using the quote from HBO CEO Richard Kepler, who said ‘more is not better-only better is better’, Palmquist reiterated the US group’s motto, which is to create ‘curated ground-breaking series, unforgettable moments in a worldwide scope and perspective.’

Moodysson’s first foray into the long fiction format starts filming in five weeks in Sweden. The 8x45’ drama tells of Gösta, a 28-year old child psychologist who gets his first job in a small rural town. He moves from Stockholm and rents a cottage in the forest. Gösta wants to be the kindest person in the world and help everyone he meets, but it doesn’t always go as planned.

“The show is true HBO material, created by a unique artistic voice, authentic and indicative of the state of Sweden and Europe today,” added Palmquist. Gösta will premiere on HBO Europe’s channels and streaming services in 2019.
