Kouvo was part of an exceptional Nordic delegation and film showcase organised by Scandinavian Films and Nordic embassies, with the major film festival in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca.

Kouvo’s Family Time (Mummola) which picked up the €1,500 Special Jury Prize at the 22nd Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF) for its “relationships dynamics and dry humour”, was first pitched as an idea at Nordisk Film &TV Fond’s Nordic Talents in 2018.

The Aamu Film Company production about family ties and die-hard dysfunctional behaviour had its world premiere at the Berlinale Encounters and continues to draw festival attention ahead of its national release November 11 via Aurora Distribution.
